Poor Zed is a little sore after getting neutered on Tuesday. The veterinarians were absolutely wonderful and I could not have asked for better treatment for my little man. They had me hold Zed in my arms while he was anesthetised to make the experience as stress-free as possible for him, and I laid him on the operation table once he was asleep. After awakening from his surgery, Zed was elated to be on his way back to the comfort of his home. He has been recovering well and, like a typical coati, is living life to the fullest. :) |

How old was Zed when you had him neutered? I waited until my baby was 12 months old. And when did you start with a bath? My last coati did not like getting in his pool outside. My son passed away just shy of his 12th birthday in September last year, and I miss him so much. It was the only time I have ever seen my husband cry, in 16 years of being together. We are waiting for news on our new son , who we will also pick up at 4 weeks, as we did with our last. We kept Cocomonday in the house for the first 8 months, along with our other son Omega the raccoon, who was also 4 weeks old at that time. Omega will be 12 years old the end of April this year. I am glad that you let people know at the end of Zed's video that these critters are cute, but are also a handful at times. Thank you for any helpful hints you can share. Lori Inman
